Biography
Aoife studied Immunology at Trinity College Dublin. During the third year of her Bachelors degree, Aoife was awarded a Wellcome Trust Biomedical Summer scholarship and spent three months in the University of Cambridge, Virology Department. After graduating, she joined the Donnelly group as a Ph.D. student to characterise the role of the TLR3 L412F in disease progression in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) during bacterial and viral infection.
